Joe Rist
A passionate angler and fly-fishing educator, Joe wears two hats for Trout Town Flies as co-owner and a guide. A former Navy veteran and former Mid-Hudson Trout Unlimited president, Joe has over 50 years of fishing experience. His love of the Catskill rivers and little blue lines in the mountains has left with him a wealth of knowledge on fly-fishing and the surrounding area that he loves to share with others regardless of skill level. Joe established Trout Town Flies in 2020 after being the head guide at Catskill Flies for many years. He has volunteered and continues to volunteer for various fishing organizations.
Don Borelli
Dons’ 25+ years’ experience on the water has helped him to become an exceptional angler and guide. Don loves to share his vast knowledge of the Delaware River systems with his clients as well as teaching them new techniques and how to hone their fly-fishing skills. When not guiding, Don can often be seen floating the Delaware with his partner in crime Beckett, his black lab!
Rob Eggleton
“Local Historian Extraordinaire”, Rob is a lifelong resident of the Catskills and has a vast knowledge of the waters that surround the area. With over 50 years of fishing experience, lots of patience and a great ability to teach others, Rob makes for a great guide!
John Francis
Johns’ passion for fly-fishing started at an early age when his father taught him how to handle the rod and read the water. That passion is also a continued hunger to learn as much as he can about the sport of fly-fishing, the waters he fishes and the art of fly-tying. Whether you are wading or floating, using dry-flies or nymphs, John will find a way to get you on fish. When not on the water John can sometimes be seen tying flies in the shop.

Here at Trout Town Flies, our guides are New York State licensed, insured, and CPR and first aid certified. When you choose Trout Town Flies for your fishing experience, you are getting a seasoned angler that has immense knowledge of the areas rivers. Our guides will choose the river that best meets your needs and give you plenty of opportunities to catch fish. Along with our guide trips we offer lessons where our guides will educate you on the art of fly-fishing so that you can have to confidence to go out on your own.

Jennifer Kakusian
Has the passion, and 50 years of fishing experience. Jennifer loves instructional fishing to floating the Delaware system for big wild fish. When she has freetime you can find her in knee deep water or floating the rivers to keep abreast of whats going on!
George Glantzis
Another Catskills native, George has a deep knowledge of the local river systems. George loves getting his clients up close and personal with the fish and can adapt in any situation to get them a tight line. His 30+ years on the water make him and experienced angler. Along with fly-fishing, George is adept at the art of fly-tying and loves putting clients on fish with his hand-tied flies.
Andre Valenti
With years of experience and an alumnus of the Wulff School of Fly Fishing, Andre is a great casting instructor. Having many years of fishing the Catskills under his belt. Andre communication skills and patience of a saint are great assets to have when it comes to guiding. Andre is an Army veteran that takes part in the opportunities we have to volunteer with vets. If you have a love for Bamboo rods Andre is definitely someone talk to.
Bill Foote Loves floating the Delaware system and seeing your rod bend! Bill loves it all, Dry fly to streamers and nymphs. Bill is quick to adapt to the situation on the water. Bill has great communication skills and is a patient guide. He is a team player who works well with other guides. Bill has a lifetime of outdoor experience which he had learned from his Grandfather.
